The New York City Football Club has formally announced that 22 year old Midfielder Richy Ledezma will be joining the club after finalized a trade with Real Salt Lake. Ledezma, who has been with both PSV (1 goal, 15 appearances) & it’s reserve club Jong PSV (7 goals, 47 appearances) out of the Netherlands since 2019 comes to NYCFC in exchange for $50,000 in allocation money and a 2024 second MLS SuperDraft pick. Additionally Real Salt Lake can received an additional $50,000 if additional incentives are met). He will be available for the upcoming match against Houston.
From Richy himself, “I am really excited to be joining New York City Football Club. It’s a Club that has had success the past couple of seasons and have developed many great players. I look forward to working hard every day to continue my development and reach the level I know I am capable of.”
